drive isnt even reading ff9
I have read the other ff9 posts out there but i cant even get ff9 to work as in that with cloneCD i cant even read the CD and on other games i can open the cd drive folder and see some hidden folders but on ff9 the folder appears empty. I cant even turn it into an iso like other posts suggest. Is there a certain driver or program to read playstation games like ff9. I have the US version. Someone please help.

cloneCD should be able to make FF9 ISOs, thats what i made mine with.
have you tried alcohol 120% or cloneCD? like Jkkdark said, does it work on your PSX? can you just run the CD with file-->run CDrom? |

my ff9 works on regular playstation except for a few cutscenes so i thought it was my disc but i tried my friend's disc and it still didnt work. CloneCD which is what i have doesnt work either. It just feels as if the cd isnt being read.

same problem...
it seems that we have the same problem. i tried to make an iso of my FF9 but my LiteON DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo did not read it. but my game is working on an actual psx. it seems that the disc is empty or someting when you put it on that drive. till my drive got busted and i bought a new Sony DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo to replace the broken one. again, i try to make an iso of that game using CloneCD and it worked 100%. based on my experience, maybe some brand of drives are unable to read certain psx disc. you can try to make an iso of it in one of your friends computer to see that if its gonna work.
