Hey i have a dual core processor as well and i was trying to run FFIX. The easiest way is to do this. Whenever you open your emulator open up task manager (alt+ctrl+del) then goto the process tab. find the process epsxe.exe, right click on the process and choose set affinity. Once in this menu uncheck the CPU 1 checkbox but leave CPU 0 checked. Click OK and close task manager, now your game should take a little longer to open ut will run at proper speed. ! Have fun and thanks Shendo for the idea.

If you have PC fps calculation on, turn it off.

My problem is similar, Right now I'm playing Grandia and the only problem I encounter is that the intro movie will play at lightning speed. Same with any of my other games that contain video clips. Otherwise the game works fine. With FF8 and Chrono Cross, the usual splash screen lag I've dealt with in 1.6.0 so I'm sure I could figure something out with that. If not, then I can always come back here for specific config settings. But my processor is a single core, AMD Athalon LE-1620 that runs at 2.4 gigahertz so the dual core fix won't work for me. Any helpful pointers? |
