Dragon Quest IV Freeze

Hello all, I'v been playing Dragon Quest IV on ePSXe 1.6.0 and there is a scene where the game totaly freezes, but the music still goes on.. it's there area where we saved Clift with the Root and when Alena and Clift were about to join the party, one guy is supposed to come up to us to inform something. But right where he says "This guy that stayed at this Hotel........" and just freezes

Can anyone help me? Here is the scene where it freezes

If anyone wants the settings,

Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.16
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode
Stretch mode: 2
Dither mode: 0

Framerate:
- FPS limit: off
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Misc:
- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

even with other plugins, emulators still gets stuck at the same place... ugh..

CD or ISO?
Turn your FPS limit on (although probably unrelated, this can cause problems in MANY games).
have you checked this out yet?

You can grab a newer version of the soft GPU plugin from here:
http://www.ngemu.com/psx/epsxe.php?action=plugins
Chances it will magically fix your problem? Pretty slim, but possible.
