FF8 ppf

i've been searching for hours for the FF8 ppf patch.
If I download it from NGEmu, i can't open the zipped file. it is broken. I've tried downloading it a couple of times so that doesn't seem to be the problem.
Does anyone know where to get the .ppf file for FF8? Maybe someone could mail it to me?

thx

A .ppf patch is can be bypassed or created using the P.E.Op.S CDR Plugin using Subchannel Reading.

ok i got the plugin working. created sbi for subchannel reading and so on...

But still when i try to launch ff8 all i get is a black screen, both from cd and with .iso

I'm using Pete's openGL driver 1.60, scph7502.bin and ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2.

I have a GeForce 4 TI 4200 and 512 RAM

any suggestions on what i should do?

Note: Are you using the NTSC or PAL version of FF8?

PhysicienXS, check where you point the links at . Iegel, just to make sure, never make the subchannel file from the ISO, or it won't work. Make it directly from the disc.

That's what I have instructed him to do.

hey, you can get the ppf file directly at
Final Fantasy VIII working absolutely perfectly (3.90 M33) *UPDATE* - Page 23 - MaxConsole Forums (bottom of first post)
I'm not sure if this file is different from what you need

unfortunately you have to register (and the post order gets reversed from oldest-newest to newest-oldest once you are logged in)

I know you wanted to help but this thread is 3 years old. I doubt that OP is still in a need for a ppf patch.
Please be more careful next time as reviving old threads is against the rules.
