The game works fine.
but when I chose "element" from the attack menu, the game half freezes up. the menu's load terrible slow and the sound crashes. What am I doing wrong? or is this something everyone has seen? |

If you're using ePSXe 1.5.2, activate the odd/even bit hack game fix. If you're using 1.6.0, use the -noauto switch.

Anyway, use both advices. Activate "odd/even bit hack", and use the -noauto option. The easiest way to add the -noauto command line option is to create a shortcut to epsxe.exe, edit its properties (right click->properties), and in the target box include " -noauto" without the quotes (notice the blank space) after the line it's already there (usually, c:\path\to\epsxe\epsxe.exe, replacing the drive letter and path for the ones used on your machine). Then start epsxe using the shortcut.
