Yet another FF8 help question

ok, i'm running espxe 1.6 with petes open gl2. i made iso's of all 4 discs of FF8 PAL. i've scoured these forums for help with this issue but couldnt find anything that related exactly to it. the game runs and looks great but then it will just randomly freeze and i have to alt-ctrl-del out of epsxe.
i have tried various different user's settings that i've found on the forums but nothing will fix it. epsxe also froze like this when i first ran it from the disc but making iso's didnt help. the cd's are fine aswell with no scratches.
anyone suggest anything? that ff8 ppf patch wouldnt affect this would it?

When it freezes, does it go to a black screen and stop?

Nomal runs FF8 Pal without PPF . The PPF are only relevant for the Gamestart.
Test a reinstall of your Emu and all components. Normal switch EPSXe with [Esc] back to console (with runing Game or hanging), as it not so is only can be an Error in the Installation... or If this lowest config (spu null and Peops SoftGPU) is runing , it can be an Error in Youre Hardware drivers. If you have a rublepad switch rumble of (FF8 don´t need this).

n_w95482 : no black screen. it just freezes on the current screen i'm at. be it the menu screen or when i'm running around or fighting.

Erzesel : i doubt the hardware drivers are at fault. i'm running it on a fairly high end pc and i've tried the gforce 4 fix on and off. i've actually installed it 3 separate times and always the same.

ok, i played it for the last 2 hours and it didn't freeze. i'm on the second disc now. maybe that was the problem. will update this post if i need more help.

ePSXe 1.6 + FF8 = problems. Better play it with 1.5.2
