Final Fantasy 9 Pal/Fr Problem :(

Hi
After running the Lindblum, i found my self on the world map
dice wich a combat engages the hp of the first Character ravles like a meter !!!
afterwards, when it turn to the first character to play, i have no access to anything.
thus the game doesn't block!
i have to wait until the 1st character die in order that the 3 others could play!
i solve it, keep the 1st character dead to be able to play
i tested the image file and the cd, the same problem occurs
can you help me plz to resolve this problem !!

Graphic card 128

(the same problem in the two configuration )
