FF7 Issue?- Jitteriness
I just began playing a while ago.. I know; I'm way behind times, I decided to buy FF7...
I'm right here ![]() With these settings ![]() Running Geforce 6800 GT (256 mb ram), amd 64 3200+, and 512 ram ... so I doubt any of that is hindering it Anyway, the issue I'm wondering is if you walk straight up and down in that area (this is the first area I noticed it), is it normal for the top of the screen to jerk a bit? Thanks for the help, appreciate it. Last edited by iopi; April 11th, 2005 at 20:45. |

"to jerk a bit"? does it happen in any other areas? if it just happens there, and nowhere else, then leave it alone. else, you can try the settings at www.lordkane.co.uk

It could be that it's the tearing associated with no vsync but if the monitor is at 60 hz, then the game would almost be perfectly synced with the monitor, keeping the tearing at about the same spot. This is all assuming that the monitor is at 60 hz and we all know the famous saying about assuming

Oh and from now on, in each new topic I make, I'll write : "I plead the Mark McGwire defense (the Miranda rights), I have the right to remain silent. that doesnt mean I did download the ISO for that game [discussed in the topic], or I didn't. I could've just used a playstation disc I own, right? but I'm not telling"

Just read the rules and behave following their guidelines. If you don't, expect your threads to be closed, and maybe yourself to be banned. It is that simple.

Glory, don't go looking for trouble, because you're sure to find it.

oh, wow. you're just asking for it aren't ya? The Captain only touched the tip of the iceberg on this one.
he's right. go looking for trouble and you'll get it. ever heard of "don't ask, don't tell"? i don't give a crap what you do in your free time, in your house, at work or school or whatever. as such, why should you care about mine? i still have the right to remain silent, i dont have to tell you where i got my BIOS. what if i did actually rip it off my PSX? that'd shut your ass up pretty damn fast, wouldn't it? of course, you'll never know. just because i didn't say anything doesn't mean i did the bad thing, did i?now, i've never asked anyone where they've gotten their BIOS. search my 9500+ posts if you don't believe me. i HAVE asked where someone has gotten their games from though. it actually matters if you downloaded a game from somewhere. A LOT of emulation problems have been solved when we realize that the problem is a faulty ISO. there's an ISO off FF7 floating around that always freezes in battle square when you are supposed to get the keystone. so when i see that thread around, i close it. to summarize (in case you just glossed over it) is that my job around here is to help people with their PSX emulation problems. and a lot of times, it's a crappy circulated-on-the-internet rip. so it DOES make a difference whether you downloaded it or not. saying "well i might've...but might've not..." is actually impeding getting help to YOU. you're standing in the way of getting your own problem fixed if you do that. so let's go back to the whole piracy thing. why is my ******* so tight about piracy? why did Flare85 leave the admin staff? simple. we dont want NGemu shut down. do you think bobbi and the staff of emuforums give a crap about people pirating Playstation games? doubtful. do you think the governments of the world and sony themselves give a crap about pirating PSX games? definitely. and do you think bobbi cares about his site being shut down? definitely. if you can't put 2 and 2 together, that translates into NO WAREZ and a NO TOLERANCE POLICY. if you did download your BIOS and games, fine, whatever. if you downloaded the BIOS and you dont tell us, well, slap on your wrists, but it's not going to impede the fact of us helping you. if you downloaded the game, slap on your wrists, but not telling us WILL impede us helping you. and if emuforums doesnt take a no tolerance stance against piracy, we DO risk getting shut down. and you wouldnt want that, would ya? i know enforcing it makes me sound like a badass. i've been accused of being a tyrant before by some angry warez0r, i've had to take the stance of the police like in the NWA vs. the police feud of the 90s. i've had to take all that BS. flare85 quit because no one quite shared his view or passion. so what the hell? does no one care? i honestly could care less if you download all the games in the world, just don't bring it up around here. if you visit this site, you'd better not be bringing piracy in. i don't want this place getting down for condoning piracy. i'll never support piracy, simple as that. oh yeah, just watch what your response is to this. i'll ban you in a second for insubordination (you might have to look that one up). not like you care though, right, mr tough guy? |

Oh Glory, the guy who downloads ISO's from the internet is talking about being a hypocrite ... Not to mention getting off topic, and accusing members and moderators of doing illegal things with no form of proof what-so-ever. Hmmm I smell a ban

In conclusion, this is one of the biggest posts I saw here on emuforums! (not that this has anything to do with the subject). And sorry for the topic I made before (me asking for stupid help and then saying I pirated games), it was quite tasteless and stupid, I know. But I only realised that once I made the first post, so I had to put the topic to a finish. My other piracy-related joke topics weren't as stupid, though. In conclusion I respect NGemu and it's stand on piracy and I couldnt care less because it does not affect me in anyway. I have my own motives of coming here. You're one of them.
