Help getting Monster Rancher 2 to load.
Hello all.
Im quite new to using emulators. I am having trouble running Monster Rancher 2. I can load the piracy message and then the second screen with "sony presents". I assume the game video comes next but all i get is a black screen and the emulator stops responding. I have had success running Suikoden 2 with no video troubles. All games are being run off original PS cds which i believe are in good condition, using a Pioneer DVD drive. I am running windows 2000 on a 1.2ghz Athlon with a 32mb GeForce 2 GTS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. |

Im pretty sure i tried P.E.Op.S before but i tested it again just now and it still hangs. I haven't tried many of the other plugins so maybe its a matter of just testing them all? I was wondering if there were any settings in the plugins that i need to be aware of. Somewhere it mentioned something about turning off the game videos, i dont know if that would help though. I am assuming with all this that it is possible to get monster rancher working in the first place!
Thanks for you help. |

If you want to turn off videos, you have to add the -nomdec switch to a shortcut. You could also try making an ISO of the disc or using a different emulator, such as PSXeven PCSX, etc.
