Vagrant Story - freeze glitch

hello, my vagrant story freezes after pressing and holding the L2 (could be R2) button to access the spells and abilities. After pressing the next button to use the spell/ability the game freezes and unless i load a save state i cant do anything. ggrrrr, ne suggestions peeps?

i using Pete's graphics 1.75 btw (cant b bothered to list settings, prob irrelavent)

Have you tried not using savestates? Does the console show any errors?

I've played Vagrant Story with savestates and always worked.

You can try PSXeven emulator with Harakiri pad pluguin if doesn't work

[edit 2] thanks for the plugin stats but still nothing im using 'Petes Open GL 1.75' btw. Harakiri plugin isnt compatible with ePSXe i dont think, also for that dont i need a gamepad?

hahaha, its ENABLE LOGS in one of the options.

YES, to a certain extent. Though I have not encounter major problems except loss of audio channels and text.

Rabid, no pad plugin is compatible with ePSXe, that's why you were advised to use PSXeven with it

. Try lowering frambuffer texture to 0, and raising frambuffer access to 4. DISABLE frame skipping. Enabling mask bit can be a good idea too. Failing that, try PEOPs gpu plugin. It provides less visual enhancement, but it's more compatible, and easier to configure. And yes, try starting over without savestates

no when i ripped it off the cd silly, it was probably a scratch or summit

ok strange as this may seem i got the 'item' command to work with PEOPs GPU but then i tried the 'shaman' one and it froze as usual. I then tried to do the item one again but it didnt work, how odd!!! I'm about to try with no save states so it may work yet lol!
