Talking FF8 choppy graphics

I am having problems with FF8 graphics can anyone help. At the begining of the game when the nurse ask squall his name the graphics starts to get choppy and when itz time to enter his name part of the screen goes black and you can't see any letters... i am using the right bios and using pete's d3d driver 1.75. thanks for your help

sorry to bother you again...but can you tell me the best setting for that video card setting to play role playing games...or will it be different for each individual game. thanks for your time... or what do you recommend setting or whatz the best setting that your using that's working out for you...any info would help. again thanks

it pretty much depends on each individual game. start with the "nice" preset and tweak it.
