Question Final Fantasy IX Black Screen Problem

Hello, I have been using ePSXe to play FFIX for a while now. Right now... I'm at the underground cavern on disc 1, and when I try to go to the next screen, my screen goes black and music plays really fast. Is there any patching for this or any options I can change to fix this? I have experimented with Direct3D and OpenGL, but with both video modes.... no luck. Please help!

do you have frame limiting turned on? also, with FF9, always use ePSXe 1.5.2.

what are your computer's specs?

try these:

- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 0
- Framebuffer access: 4

to put some load on your CPU and not videocard.

I thank you for your assistance... but none of it will work. Do you think I could send you my video save state... and you fast forward it for me? Or do you know of a save past that area but not quite on to CD2?
