FFVII problem!

I've tried many configurations, but the game when starts and works, doesn't work properly!
For example I can see the players, but i can't see the display where it shows the energy of the players, or the sprite of the tagert i want to attach is just his legs so i can't distinguis who am i attaching!!
In the luckiest of the settings i've tried i can see a part of that but not all of it, but the grafic is really miserable with no effects active!!
What should i do?
I have P4 3Ghz 800 +asus V9560 (if i'm not wrong is based in Nvidia chip set) 256Mb

Please someone help me, i love this game but i've never got the chance to play it!
I saw the configuration suggested but doesn't work on me, well it works partially as i said earlier...

Thanx for the help

If you'd done a quick search, youd have discovered that you need to set offscreen drawing to maximum
