Final Fantasy VII Too Slow
Hey everyone.
As you can tell, I'm having problems with FF VII. I have a PAL .img file, and it runs unbearably slow. I tried a pal bios thinking that might be the problem, but it wasn't. The first screen, ironically the piracy screen fades in slow, and fades out slow.... it takes about a minute. Then I get the sony computer entertainment europe presents screen, but I give up after about a minute of waiting for that... none of the buttons i press speed it up any. I have played 2 other games without any problems, FF Origins and FF Tactics. I don't think it's the video plugin or settings because I've tried a good number of combinations without any change. My laptop is: AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ ATI Radeon IGP 320M (64MB) (equivalent to a Radeon 7000 or 7500) 512MB PC2100 DDR RAM DVD/CD-RW Toshiba Combo Drive Thanks in advance for any help

hey, i tried a downloaded iso, and a ripped iso, with the same results.
I eventually figured out what the problem was (7 hours later, lol). Somehow the hardware accelleration for my video card had been disabled, also causing the DirectDraw accelleration, Direct3D accelleration and AGP texture accelleration to be dissabled. All is fine now.... sorry for the inconvenience
