Hi
I am using ePSXe emulator 1.6.0. (also tried 1.5.2 same!) And every time i trying to play Final Fantasy ix (9) the emulator doesn't run the game. The screen just turn's black. I can play other games like Dragon Ball gt final bout or Tony Hawk. Please help me somebody! I have scph1001 bios Pete's OpenGl Driver 1.70 video ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2 sound ePSXe CDR WNT/W2k core 1.5.2 CDrom So could someone tell me why Final Fantasy ix (9) isn't working :cuss2: I found this on one of the websites. What do they mean by "patch the game" and how do I do it? "You should have a Final Fantasy IX PAL version of the game (Australian/ European), you must either patch the game, or use subchannel reading in order to run it. Any PAL version of the game in English uses the UK Patch. Refer to the CD-Rom section on Patching and Subchannel reads" Thank you |

Get the required PPF patch from here. Put the PPF file in the patches folder located where ePSXe is. Select P.E.Op.S. CDR plugin as your CD plugin, click the PPF patch button, select the patch, and run the game.

alternatively, you can make an ISO with subchannel data (use Alcohol 120% or CloneCD).
and you'll need to upgrade your plugins. Pete is up to 1.75 for his OpenGL, plus you'll want to use Eternal for sound (eternal lite for a slow CPU) and like n_w95482 said, the Peops plugin for CD if you choose to use a PPF patch |
