Can't run Parasite Eve

Using epsxe 1.6.0 with scph 7502 and Pete's OpenGL2 2.6 at nice setting.
All I get is a black screen when I start Parasite Eve up.
Can anyone help?

Try using another BIOS file...I have noted problems using the scph 7502 BIOS file...

You can test the BIOS file by:
Clicking File ---> Run BIOS

Oh I forgot...Are you sure that you are using the correct video plugin? The Pete's OGL Plugin only supports ATI Radon 9600 Series or above and\or nVidia FX Series...

Most PSX cds work with the scph1001 BIOS...

what are your computer's specs? the OGL2 plugin is ideally for newer videocards, like fireblaster_lyz said.

try pressing the 'fast" preset just to see if you can get anywhere in game, then you'll at least know that "nice" is too much for your system to handle

The only reason I used 7502 is because 1001 wouldn't work. =(
I've tried all other plugins at both settings, and nothing seems to work.

I don't get this at all...

I use AdriPSX with the exact same settings and it works fine.

What could possibly be any different that epsxe is unable to play PE, but AdriPSX is?
