Problems with Symphony of the Night
Right now, I'm trying to play SoTN on my laptop which is a 2.66 Ghz Pentium 4 with 256 mb of memory, a Radeon 7500C with Omega Drivers 2.5.36b. My sound card is the Sigma TelC Audio with the most recent drivers. My latop is a dell Inspiron 5100 and Knights of the Old Republic can run rather well on it.
I've got 38 GB max of space, but only 6 gigs left. o.o; Now then. What's happening is Symphony of the Night at random times drops to about 20-30 FPS for no reason reason it seems. At first, I lowered the sound buffer on my sound plugin settings and that seemed to lessen the lag. I updated my sound card drivers and I switched from Pete's D3D(DX6) plugin to his D3D(DX7) plugin. The problem is, is the lag came back, no matter what settings I did on any of these plugins, so I went through and tried the OpenGL one to the Soft Renderer and the lag came no matter what. I EVEN tried using the ePSXe core sound plugin and it did not work. I've attached images of ALL my configuration settings with the following plugins: Pete's D3D plugin 1.75(DX6 and DX7 have the same settings) Pete's OpenGL plugin 1.75 P.E.Ops Soft Render 1.16 Sound config Eternal SPU sound plugin 1.41 Note that the OpenGL has a special game fix on and that's the FB access since I have an ATI card. So... can anyone help me? o.o Edit: I noticed attachments appear as thumbnails... is there a way to change them to text links? o.o |
