yeah i tried that. now i never used a ppf patch so maybe i did it wrong. i downloaded the patch and ppf-o-matic and used that to patch the iso. and then burned the iso again. same result though. is there another way to use ppf patches.

Don't know where, but there's a nice workaround:
- Download peops cdr driver. - insert the cd. - start ePSXe. - Go to 'Config->CDRom' - Select peops, and click configure. - In the lowest part of the config window, click on 'make m3s/sbi subchannel file'. - Select 'Make from CDRom', sbi file, and make it (relax, will take about 5-10 minutes). - Then select 'use subchannel file' from the plugin's config, and choose the one you just made. - Play the game

Or, if you want to play from an image(let's face it, playing from a CD sucks
), you can rip the CD using CloneCD which will also rip the subchannel data which will be autoloaded by ePSXe and allow you to play. You could also load the CloneCD image with Mooby's Image Driver and select the Sub-Channel option.

Not a .iso, a CloneCD image(should generate three files: .img = main info, .ccd = table of contents, .sub = subchannel info). What are you using to rip it now? If you're ending up with a .iso file you're probably not ripping subchannel data as well.
I-Chan's fix should have worked though, it may be something else causing the prolem... What CD/DVD-ROM drive are you using? Also, I'm assuming this CD is the original storebought CD, correct? If not then you're wasting our time. |

DiscJuggler doesn't rip the subchannel info, so of course it wouldn't work... CloneCD does, so it probably will work.
Also, I've attached a copy of the patch for the PAL UK version. You can rip the file using CDRWin/CCD/Whatever and then apply the patch to the image file. This should work, so you may want to try this first. It's up to you though. Last edited by seph29; June 19th, 2004 at 05:21. |

Seph, you are forgetting that my fix can be used to play from an iso too. Virtual drives are there for something, that's the way i play
. Raiden, if everything else fails, you should try playing with the bare minimun settings, and then playing with the compatibility ones. I'd suggest trying peops gpu plugin, and disabling sound at all. As Seph stated, my fix should have been enough to surpass a copy protection, so i doubt that could be the problem anymore. Also, take a glance on the debug window (the little black msdos window, if it doesn't show, go to 'Run', and check 'Enable Logs'), and tell us wich mesagges does it show. Let's see if we can solve it!
