Help needed - ppf says image incorrect size...
Some of the games I own have protection on them, such as CTR, Crash Bash, Speed Freaks, Formula One 99, Vagrant Story etc...
Now, I downloaded ppf's for these games so I could run the iso's, but whenever I try to patch them it says that the image file size is incorrect! In the ppf description it says it's for the english PAL version of the game, which is exactly what I have. It gives you the option to patch it anyway, but when I do, the games still freeze in the same places... I'm using Blindread to make my iso's, but I've tried it with other programs like CloneCD etc. Please help... |

Isn't it a bit strange that the only games of mine that freeze are protected? Isn't that why they make ppf's? To stop the protection causing the game to freeze and cause errors?
All of my non-protected games work fine (except X-Men). And besides, I've tried ripping CTR from my CD and two of my friends' CD's, and it freezes in the same spot everytime even though I've made iso's from 4 different programs and tried countless plug-in combinations and configurations... Something tells me it's the protection... But if it isn't, then it is amazingly uncanny that my CD and my two friends' CD's have the exact same fault... |

Try making your own patches with peops cd-r plugin. There are detailed instructions in the readme, but don't hesitate to ask if you have any doubt

Wow! I didn't know you could make them! I tried it out but it only makes sbi and m3s files, and the patching program only recognises ppf files. I tried renaming it to a ppf but it didn't work. How do I do I make a patch for an iso?
Thanks for your help =o) |

mmmm... well, this patches are supposed to be used with peops itself :P , it will load them just fine. You can't patch the isos with them, sorry. Anyways, you can use them to test if the game works fine, so you can discard the possibility of having faulty isos.

You must rename the ppf files into SLES thing orSCES... which depends of your game and you must replace the renamed files into epsxe's root > patches
