Final Fantasy 7 Stuck At Demo

I have the black ff7 cds, and tried it first right in the drive, then made an image with clonecd and had the same problem: it does not seem to respond to controls at all and keeps looping the credits or something. What can I do?

By the way, my specs:

Tested on ePSXe 1.52 and 1.60 with same results.
AMD TBird @ 1.2gHz
Asus A7V133
512mb ram
Geforce 4 MX 420
40gb Western Digital HD
12x Toshiba DVDROM
16x BEST CD Burner

press F5 in your keyboard while in game to switch to digital control, this way your controls will work.
