Persona 2 problem - requesting help
It has been suggested to use another emulator to get past *the point* (where the game crashes when you enter a battle, after you get the clocktower key). Unfortunately none of the other emulators work for me. ePSXe is, and continues to be the only PSX emu that works on this computer.
I see no other choice than to ask for help. Would one of you please get me past that point? I'm attaching a save-state to this post (memcard saving doesnt work in this game? at least, not for me. there's nothing to load). It is the 3rd state. What I want you to do: 1- Get in battle and fight or run. 2- Open the map, R2/L2 to see the other map mode, then return to game. 3- Overwrite my save-state (slot 3) Please dont change floors. The map thing is because my game crashes when I do so. I'm hoping this is only temporary (after all, battles went just fine until I got the key). Well, I'm hoping battles will work after this, too... Note: If "your other emualtor" cant sue ePSXe save-states, you can use ePSXe and load it, save the game on memcard (maybe it will work for you?), and use that memcard in "your other emu". That's assuming it can load ePSXe memcards, of course. Would be very grateful. Sure hope its going to work... [Edit: Save state is too large to upload here I'll have to send it by email then. That's if you can accept a 1.5mb file by email.][Edit2: Getting a little complicated...I understand if no one offers to help] |

Problem fixed, I guess
Load state, walk a little, save. Walk, game crashes. Load, walk a little, save state. Walk a little, save. Walk a little, crash. Load, walk, save...(the crash occured at the start of every battle). After a while, at a certain spot in the building, I let the game load a battle, and it worked. All following battles worked, as well. I'm in the clocktower right now. If you are doing a search about this game and you have thatt problem, make sure you head straight to the clocktower (from 3rd floor) once you get the key. |
