Castlevania Symphony... Freezes
hi! while i was playing the above mentioned game, everything was working fine. untill i got to this one area in the 2nd castle. i can partially enter this one room, but if i move too far up (jump) or jump down to the level below be, it freezes and gives me this error message: Opcode 2f UNK (PC 001af238) (447456,64)
here's a link to the pictures, showing what i'm talking about. http://www.freewebs.com/mogofdeath/epsxe.html this error happens when i go into another room that connects to this one from the other side. i had another person i know try it on another computer and they got the same error. but through some tricking (like going out the door, coming back, etc...) he got through, but i still can't. any ideas? thanks! ![]() EpsxE Spec's: Video: Pete's D3D driver 1.75 - everything at the max, and i've tried lower settings too Sound: Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41 EpsxE v. 1.6.0 PC Spec's: Win 2k, AMD Athalon xp 2400, Radeon 9600 128mb (i've tried it on a NVidia GeForce 4 64mb card too) and there's plenty of RAM. i dunno if all that is of any use but, it's there in case it was important

Have you tried using ePSXe 1.5.2? If that game is mostly 2D, you could try using the P.E.Op.S. software plugin since it works well with 2D games.

Are you playing from the cd or form an iso? If it's from an ISO, try remaking it, might be screwed. If it's from the cd... tough luck, might be a damaged cd. Try making an iso with cloncd or alcohol, maybe it's error cheking algorythm can help you. Antoher possibility is that the cd plugin you are using has problems with this particular game. Try another cd plugin, like peops, xevens, or mooby's.

ok, i'll try that. i'm playing the game from a burned cd, and then the iso i made of that cd. i didn't think that would be the problem cuz the other guy that tried it for me had the original.
Edit: i tried that cd one by Mooby, same error. i don't think the cd plugin is the problem, but i really don't know. i guess i should try to get an original cd and see if that solves it. Last edited by ~DarkArmorZero~; June 4th, 2004 at 16:09. |
