Dragon Warrior 7: Crashing at specific point
I'm playing Dragon Warrior 7 on ePSXe, and it's been working fine so far. However, now it seems to lock up once I get to Hamelia, where the bard plays his song. He plays what I'm assuming is the introduction to the song, and then the game just freezes. Is there any way I can fix this, preferably without having to start my whole game over?

I looked around the boards and noticed how some people seem to be handling specific point problems like this, so I'll take a page from them. I've attached my memory card that has my save file, and I just need someone to take my party to the inn in the town I'm in, then go to the next town and save after the bard plays his song. Thanks in advance.

Most likely beating a dead horse here, but when my game froze at the bard scene (epsxe 1.6.0), I changed the sound driver from Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15 to one of the other ones (chosen at random). After that, I changed it back and had no more problems until the last battle.

solution to dw7 crashes
I had the 'crashing at bard' problem as well. I fixed it by changing from the epsxe spu core to anything else. The 'crashing immediately after defeating the final boss' problem was a bit trickier. I tried using 1.5.2 and that didn't work, at first. I was using pete's D3d driver 1.75 and P.E.Op.S. DSound 1.8, and by turning frame buffer textures to 2 while ingame (which isn't needed anywhere else else in the game...), i was able to get past that point.
