Whats up guys ? This issue has been addressed before but im still lost as ever & would love some help. I'm runnin the PAL version of ff9. So im already to go but all i get is a black screen i try it with the original cd & subchanel reading on the ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2. the thing runs but its awfully slow. Then i try downloading the patches from the ngemu site like advised but i still gaet the black screen. Im prayin some beautiful soul will tell my dizzy self how to work this situation. ok, I had a problem with a black screen too.... oddly it has gone completely away but before it did I used to work around it by turning off frame limiting before I started the game then manually turning it back on after I got past the black screen..... using petes plugs of course.

WRT the ppf's: make sure you decompress the files into the patches directory and have the autoppf option switched on in the emu. Also, the ppf files must have the same file name as the games psx id code (eg slesXXX)

this is how is surpass copy protection on FF9 pal (sp version): First, use peops cd-r plugin. Enter in the config screen, config it to suit your needs, and go to the lowest section. Select "use m3s/sbi patch file" (or something like that, can't recall it :P), and click on the button that will appear. There you can make your own ppf file (have patience, takes a little time). Once you are done, select it on the previous config, and then start. Don't worry, you have to build the file just once. But remember to unselect it when you play another games!
