'opcode' error in FFIX

When trying to run FFIX I recieve errors mentioning 'opcode' followed by seemingly random numbers. Now, FFIX is the only game that causes this problem and, in fact, it used to run fine. I have tried switching video plug-ins, changing settings, and using 1.5.2 but nothing is helping. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, but it sounds like your disk is damaged. You'll probably going to have to get a new one.

But my disc is in fantastic condition. I even made an ISO to see if the disc was the problem, no luck there either.

try NOT using save states whatsoever.

btw what part are you at? an old version of Pete's OGL2 caused a problem at disc 3, but i reported it and it should be fixed in the newer versions.

No, I use the standard GUI.

And this happens no matter what part of the game I'm at, both on a save late in the game and a save early in the game. Also, this is happening at random other tims as well, not just when loading save states.
