FF9 speeded

My FF9 is screwed up, it's like 2 times faster than it should, and when I turn on the FPSlimit the game won't start ... Tried in both 1.60 and 1.52, doing Pete's OpenGL 1.75

Got A P3 866 mhz, 256 mb, Geforce Ti4200 128mb

ugh, no way...with an 866 mhz processor a soft plugin wont be very successful anyway. and a Ti4200 is more than enough to run OGL smoothly

Try loading without fps limit on but set to 60 (so when u do turn it on) then when its running press delete to bring up the OGL options and turn on frame limiting.

But it's not a directx 9 card, so fx5200 is (IMO) better for psx emu, as it can handle pete's ogl2 gpu plugin.

it doesnt matter if it's a DX9 card. for one, pete's OGL2 plugin doesnt need a DX9 card. you need the DX9 card for the shaders. unfortunately, the 5200 is too slow to use the shaders. turning off AA and AF, the ti4200 is much much faster than the 5200, even rivaling the 5600 i have (which is most certainly faster than a 5200)

Got it to work now ...
However .. on the world map and in the starting off the battles, it lags behind ..
On the worldmap I got a quite huge lag, and in the battle the music is strange ... Is this usual on the computer I got? Tried eternal PSU, the original ePSXe and one more PSU plugin, but the sound still lags when I enter battle ...
Lags the same with all plugins..

suggestion on original problem.... go to your video drivers and turn on V-synch and refresh rate at 60 Hz then in the ogl plugin turn FPS limit to auto. the only time I have insanly high speeds in the game is if I turn off v synch or if I do not sych the sound to the GPU (but I'm pretty sure that option is not part of ePSXe or the emu pro plugin system, the more I'm thinking is that its more in the standard plugins for N64 emulation)

well i used to use the d3d 1.75 plug in to run my epsxe 1.60 and well i decided to finally try the ogl 1.75 plug in and with switching around some options for about the same as i did my d3d plug in i got the game running just about perfect now minus a small, very small slow down every now and than but goign into battles is about perfect now and the whoel game runs fine, just since i just did try this not sure how well it works as i have not tried the fmvs in the game yet and will reply with how well they run in just a while. if you want my computer specs and the settlngs and everything i will be more than happy to post them as well at that time.
