Im experiencing a slowdown in the Chrono Cross battles. While my fps keeps at a steady 60. you can see the screen is not going smooth anymore when the enemy+party is showed on the screen.
Im using ePSXe 1.5.2 with Pete's OpenGL 2.5 My settings: Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.5 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation GFX card: GeForce FX 5950 Ultra/AGP/SSE2/3DNOW! Try unchecking frame skipping and set the FPS limit to about 63 to 65. You can even give ePSXe 1.6 with the -noauto command a shot, but most people would recommend sticking with ePSXe 1.5 for Chrono Cross. As for your graphics, they look almost identical to mine except a bit better, probably because of your decked out machine.

hmm ty for responding, I tried that stuff out but no goodluck.
It could be the game maybe and im the only one who notices it (its not THAT noticable btw) if you just look/feel closely you'll see it running slower then normal. the same happens with very low Video settings so it cant be my pc (as there's a constant 60 fps to) |

![]() Anyway I tried FF9 and there's no problem at all. so it mus be the game I suppose? or emu compatability. Does anyone know a other decent Emu which works good with Chrono Cross? ill try that out then |

You have the exact same problem as I have. Looks like I'm not the only one who has nasty framebuffer-related slowdown. Your best bet is to switch down to the open gl1 plugin until someone solves this since it worked for me. I know that we'll be losing all the fancy stuff but we both just want to play, no?
I think this is related to either our higher end GeForce FX gfx cards (I have a 5900 XT btw) in some way or the plugin but apart from that, I'm stumped. Last edited by Neronix; April 13th, 2004 at 09:27. |

Erk my apologies, I accidently edited this thread instead of quoting it
. Anyways, crono cross does not work with pete's opengl2 ATM. You have to use pete's opengl 1.75.

Thanks for the help all, but no success
![]() I tried OpenGL 1.75 and the same happens (I actually hear the sound having a slowdown now to as soon all characters+enemy's are on screen) maybe it IS some bad ISO thing? I got this ISO on a CD from a friend of mine. I really have no idea how he did it. And he's not that smart with computers/epsxe so im sure he wont know the answer to. Could it be a BIOS thing? im using 1001 *edit* its no problem Betamax im already glad people are responding

I doubt it's a bad iso, if it was the emu would crash with a crc redundancy error. The irony is you machine is EXACTLY the same as mine, and it works fine here
