Try unchecking frame skipping and set the FPS limit to about 63 to 65. You can even give ePSXe 1.6 with the -noauto command a shot, but most people would recommend sticking with ePSXe 1.5 for Chrono Cross. As for your graphics, they look almost identical to mine except a bit better, probably because of your decked out machine.

hmm ty for responding, I tried that stuff out but no goodluck.
It could be the game maybe and im the only one who notices it (its not THAT noticable btw) if you just look/feel closely you'll see it running slower then normal. the same happens with very low Video settings so it cant be my pc (as there's a constant 60 fps to)

hehe thanks, im just lucky with some sponsors
Anyway I tried FF9 and there's no problem at all. so it mus be the game I suppose? or emu compatability. Does anyone know a other decent Emu which works good with Chrono Cross? ill try that out then

Well, since I'm here anyway.. What program did you use to make the ISO and have you tried using another program to try and make the ISO?

You have the exact same problem as I have. Looks like I'm not the only one who has nasty framebuffer-related slowdown. Your best bet is to switch down to the open gl1 plugin until someone solves this since it worked for me. I know that we'll be losing all the fancy stuff but we both just want to play, no?

I think this is related to either our higher end GeForce FX gfx cards (I have a 5900 XT btw) in some way or the plugin but apart from that, I'm stumped.

bother me though.

Erk my apologies, I accidently edited this thread instead of quoting it .

Anyways, crono cross does not work with pete's opengl2 ATM. You have to use pete's opengl 1.75.

Thanks for the help all, but no success
I tried OpenGL 1.75 and the same happens (I actually hear the sound having a slowdown now to as soon all characters+enemy's are on screen)
maybe it IS some bad ISO thing? I got this ISO on a CD from a friend of mine. I really have no idea how he did it. And he's not that smart with computers/epsxe so im sure he wont know the answer to. Could it be a BIOS thing? im using 1001

*edit* its no problem Betamax im already glad people are responding

I doubt it's a bad iso, if it was the emu would crash with a crc redundancy error. The irony is you machine is EXACTLY the same as mine, and it works fine here . Here's my config settings for ogl 1.75

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.75
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce FX 5950 Ultra/AGP/SSE2/3DNOW!

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing [32 Bit]
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off

Textures:
- B8G8R8A8
- Filtering: 3
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 3
- Framebuffer access: 3
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- 15 bit FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: on
- Screen cushion: off
- Game fixes: on [00001000]

The game fix is the odd/even bit hack

Here's my config if you want it.

Quote:
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.74
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce FX 5900XT/AGP/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 800x600 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing [16 Bit]
- Keep psx aspect ratio: on

Textures:
- R8G8B8A8
- Filtering: 6
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- VRam size: 128 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 63

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Framebuffer access: 3
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- 15 bit FB: off
- Dithering: on
- Screen smoothing: off
- Screen cushion: off
- Game fixes: on [00001002]
The fixes I'm using are the odd/even bit hack and the direct framebuffer updates hack (I think having that on may solve the problem. Having fb textures set to 2 and fb access to 3 works best while giving full effects)
