Best settings for Final Fantasy Tactics?

When I try and run FFT I get a bunch of problems. Really choppy sound and graphics, and on the world map, the sprites show up, but the background is completely black. Does anyone know which plugins and settings work the best with FFT? I'm pretty new to the emulator so I'm not quite sure what to change to fix things. I'm running version 1.6, and I'm not positive about the video card, I think its a 64 MB GeForceFX. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

- Hi-Res textures: 0
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 3
- Framebuffer access: 4
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: none

Misc:
- Scanlines: off [0]
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Full vram: on
- Game fixes: off [00000020]

This will solve the black background (I used to have that too). Note that this is with a Radeon 9600 series, and not one made by nVIDIA.

For sound, use the Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41. That's what I have, and the game runs perfectly.

ummm...i don't have neither cards do u think it'lll still work and i was wondering what the setting for ur soud plugin were....( newb here) why can't i make my own threads?

If you have a Voodoo card you can get Lewpy's gpu plugin, or use D3D or Opengl plugin with a onboard video.

umm...i believe i have an intel P4 with 2.53MHz...something something
and i use pete's D3D plugin to my brave fencer mushashiden,MMX5...im trying to find the Xenogears full CD1 with the bin. and .cue files i got one with only the bin file

and y cant i make threads?

intel P4 with 2.53MHZ...something something really doesn't help. Also, don't post anything on here that has to do with downloading illegal games, or you'll get banned. Check the rules..
