[?] FF9 Speech Problem
Ive been trying to get through this game for so long, I went from PC to using the actual PSX, Ive been using the PSX for awhile and I finally get to disc 3 and its scratched or some crap. I got it resurfaced but now its not loading. So Im back to the computer, On disc 3 in the beginning of it, Where the little summoner girl (forgot name) and Steiner come out of the castle when ZIdane and Vivi are coming out of the little boat. All the thing the characters say is just jibberish, jibberish as in symbols and complete crap. I cant just skip through the text because its endless. I have a savestate here CLICK FOR LINK
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I have had this happen a couple times and it really screws everything up. If someone could please help I would be so grateful. Thank You a kung-fu mastah |

ePSXe 1.5.2 gives the same problem with that savestate, do you have a normal memcard save?

Im using 1.5.2, ive also tried 1.6.0 for the hell of it. Same problem. I just posted save state becuase i thought it would be easier for you guys. I only used the save state to post here, I usually use the memory card save though. The memory card save is here. From that save all you have to do is go to the castle. Also if this helps any, I had this problem when I started the game in the very beginning and I remember using AdriPSX emulator didnt screw up like this. But I cant get AdriPSX working (When I run AdriILE it says "Some internal Adri ILE files seem to be missing. Please re-intsall", Before It was saying it couldnt find "Plugins/padTsgKnP.dll" I put that file in there and now I get the re-install one, if this helps any) Hopefully we can get this working soon.

Try my savestate, is in the second slot so you don't have to overwrite your old one.

that worked, thanks alot for the help. But how did you do it for future reference?

I went to treno and it was perfect, i really don't see the problem; maybe because i'm using ePSXe 1.6.0 but i don't think this is the problem.
