It's the one with 0x0002:Ignore small framebuffer moves Nice in FF7/FF8. OD=1,FE=2,FU=2

ps. I tested various settings-variations, also did the things you said now, but it still displays the weird text

This is strange problem. I've had same kind of problems with my FFVIII usually when I have loaded game from a save state. Do you have this problem if you load your saved game normally?

I started the game from the beginning again, and even in the headmenu (Start game, Load Game) it had the weird letters. And it turned out that it was also ingame. So i think it will also be like that when i load a normal savegame.

It seems it's a compatibility problem with my ati drivers (and not epsxe160 as i thought first.) I got the newest drivers and tried it again from the beginning. The graphics are normal again

Works fine on 1.6.0 here, make sure you don't use any special game fix, as FF8 doesn't need any.

BTW, could you try reducing the size of that sig please ?
