Problems with DBZ Legends

It was alright until I got to Dabura, for some reason when the character finishes the special attack, the game stops. And now its got even worse, when a character joins the team at the start of the game. IT locks up!!! IT never used to happen before and I have tried recopying the emulator and the game.

What confuses me is that it was fine up to Dabura but now all hell has broken loose! Please help!!!

Weird, I haven't got issues with this game yet, chack your CD surface, or your ISO is corrupt

I dont think the ISO is corrupt. I think it is the graphics settings of the emulator. I have started using PSXeven_v0.17b but even that has started to show problems. I think it is that the pc cant cope with the special graphics, I have tried using the minimal options but still no difference. I dont have a really good graphics card but my processor is ok.

Anyone know where I can get some good D3D or Soft dlls?

What plugins are you using, what gfx card?
Pete's OpenGL 1.75 works fine with my GF4MX

I dont really have a good graphics card. Just the one that came with the PC.

My PC Specs are;

350Mhz
No accelerated graphics card
something like 160MB ram
max res 1024x800 (I think)

I am currently using Pete's D3D driver but I have tried with others. It's better then before but it locks up after Guldo does his Ginyu Force move... I think its something to do with the pc not being able to cope with the graphics.

Theres not that much to know about the settings I have; Lowest possible resolution and everything else turned off/disabled

If anyone knows any better dlls please send them to Alexfili@hotmail.com

No acceleration?
My suggestion, either you use a software plugin (Pete's one), either you upgrade your PC

I have exactly the same problem with the pluging.
But thats the thing is, it actually runs worse with the software one!!! The software plugin makes the game uber slow. The same problem happens.

It's really weird because it never used to and im pretty sure it's not the ISO. I definately think its to do with the settings. I remember on ePSXe It was going really well but I must have changed something by accident. Can you give me any more advice based on this?

edit1 : It looks like P E Op S Soft Driver 1.4 works really well for me. The characters still freeze though. This makes me think that its not to do with the plugin. I think theres something wrong with something else.

Maybe the save file gets corrupt. Dbz Legends is a NTSC game. Maybe I need to change some options around. I'll be in touch as my investigation continues...

edit2 : Nope, that aint it. I started a new game and its still locking up. Is there any other information about the game that saves? something like RAM in the emulator that i can control? Maybe theres something wrong with that?

edit3 : PSXeven_v0.17b does not like P E Op S Soft Driver 1.4 at all. It makes it go really slow for some reason. Dunno why I wish it would stop locking up...

edit4: Man I am getting no where, I've changed the graphics, changed the bios to a (Japan) bios. I've tried changing the auto detection to NTSC but to no avail. Please help!!!

As I said, an upgrade would be usefull, maybe your CPU fan is too old and the emu makes it heat too much

It doesn't depend on the emu only, but also on the games
for example, you can play Silent Hill at ful speed on a Celeron766+GF2mx, but it's noyt enough for Resident Evil 3 (an Athlon 1800+ or more will help better)

I just tested the game in the last few minutes, my settings seem to be more than decent, except for a line on the left side of the screen that seems to stay there for sometime and goes away when the screen changes completely. The star on the dragon ball could be a little better too, that's probably from the setting 5 texture filtering I'm using, I suppose.

krairo, you need to adjust your settings to get everything showing and hopefully you have a decent enough machine to get it to all work.
