FF7 Sound Problems

FF7 is working pretty well on my system, but I am having some problems. Specifically, when going into battles, and after them when getting experience and gold/items, the sound slows down slightly. It doesn't seem to be a video thing because I tried putting up the FPS display and it still stays around 60 fps. Here are my specs:

Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.15
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Fullscreen - [32 Bit]
Stretch mode: 0
Dither mode: 0

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Misc:
- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Sound Plugin: Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
- Audio Device: DirectSound
- Buffer size: 11
- Audio Out Method: Thread
- All options in the Misc. section are off, all special game fixes are on

SPU IRQ hack is enabled in the ePSXe config. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure to turn off AntiAliasing and Anisotropic Filtering.
If you have a fast computer or good sound card, try setting the Audio Out Method as SPUasnyc and Async mode to Smooth

I think this slowdown is a common thing, and it depends on the power of your pc, but your video settings are pretty low, so shoudn't happen unless you have a slow pc.
