Monster Rancher 2 Shrine (disc swap) problems

Every time I try to use the shrine in Monster Rancher 2 (where you swap the MR2 disc with a audio cd or another psx game and then back again) the game doesn't read the cd I put in and asks for the MR2 cd again. I put the MR2 cd back in and it tells me it's not there. I'm using ePSXe 1.6, P.E.Op.S. CDR 1.4 cd plugin, P.E.Op.S. DSound audio plugin and Pet's OpenGL2 video. I have a Plexwriter 48/24/48A cd-rom drive, an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, a SoundBlaster Live and a P4 2.4GHz with 1GB of RAM. Thanks in advance.

I hate to bring back dead threads but I have the same problem, could someone please fill us/me in on how to fix this?

dang, this is an old thread. poor guy, i wonder if he ever fixed it.

you're having the exact exact same problem? are you changing discs correctly, that is, pressing escape and going to file-->change disc? have you tried other emulators like PSXeven, SSSPSX, or PCSX?

Thanks, that File>Change Disc thing worked, I was just taking it out and putting a different disc in.

some of the discs dont work for instance tenchu is supposed to have a monster you can get at the begging of the game however it says i must unlock it how do i fix this? if i can. Thanks in advance
