Syphon filter 2 hangs!!!
Hi.
I'm currently tring to play SF2 with ePSXe 1.6.0. but the game hangs when you finish the mission 3 of disc 1, i've tried changed the plugins, and nothing hangs in the same place, when you finish the mission and the game ask to save, you can save but after saving and "Press the X button" message appears and you pressed it then game hangs... you only choice is to press ESC and close the emulator. I'm currently using the SPCH1001 bios, I have tried with Pete's D3D and OGL pluggins, the internal audio plugin, the Eternal 1.41 plugin, Internal CDR plugin, the Pete's CDR plugin, Xeven's CDR... well almost everything, tried enabling and disabling CD Subchannel Data read in the plugins (internal and external ones), and nothing... The game play fine until this point. I'm using the original game, no rips, also tried with ePSXe 1.5.2 and the same, and tried with the SPCH7001 bios... can anybody help me with this or make some suggestion? Thank you. |

The CDs are brand new...
i've tried making ISO and mount it on Alcohol, but the same problem... hey could you post your video plugin configuration, I remember that Pete's plugins have an option to dump the current config somewhere, also another plugins specs please if it's not to much trouble, i would apreciate that... and the BIOS you are using..maybe it's an option and using, but I use the same options with allmost all other games i've have and everything works fine, just this game... I'm trying to hate it but it's too cool for that

Hey, also I have noted something... actually the emulator is not crashing, I enabled the log console of ePSXe... and realized something, in this point of the game when the game freezes the emulator is still running, you can still press the function keys in the keyboard which generates messages in the consolo (F2, F3, F4, F8) and the messages appears in the console, and of couse when you press F3 and there's a save state in the hard disk it loads, the behaviour it that the game not goes on... it stays in the screen freezed, if I run it in a window and move other windows over the emulation window it becomes white, like when a windows program freezes.
Thanks for the video plugin settings, could you please post your bios name and other plugins you where using.. aah, I forgot to mention that I tried the game in another computer and the same problem.. the disc I'm using it from this greatest hits editon, the ones that comes with a green border on the cd cover... i don't know if something change in this editions cause another thing that I tried was to enter the codes to enable level skip and selection in the game to tried skip this level and continue playing and for my surprise they not worked, i tried all the codes combinations that I could find in the web for this game, the ones in www.gamefaqs.com and other place and only the one which enables "Super Agent Mode" worked, the others DONT... ![]() Well, thank you, please post the other thing I asked, maybe with that.
