Tales of Destiny problem

Greetings,

I'm playing Tales of Destiny, I recently reached the end and I decided to get a slu of extras. After I was satisfied with what I had got I moved onto the secret dungeon, the Tower of Druaga. So I'm on the 35th or so floor and I had just gotten a new item. As usual I decided to go to my item menu to see what it does. However, as soon as I get there, the sprite for the item will appear jumbled followed up by an internal error in the ePSXe emulator. Specifically it reads:

Error running ePSXe
"Opcode 14 LINK (PC 00080000) (4831172,13)"

I click OK and it closes ePSXe. This also happens if I try to view my items in equip mode. The only way I can view any items is in battle mode (to which I figured that if I lessened my items I might be able to get it to work, but no deal).

Since Druaga is a hard dungeon I'm barely prepared for anyway I'd be willing to give it up. The problem is I can't save anywhere in the dungeon to a mem card and the last mem card save I had was a while ago. I rely on quicksave a lot so I tried transferring the quicksave data to another emulator but it won't read those files. I'm really stuck in a rut here, can anyone help me out?
