2 Chrono Cross problems

O.k. here are my specs. at first:

P4 2.53 Ghz
Geforce 4 ti4200 with 64 Mbyte Ram
256 Mbyte Ram
Windows XP home edition
I'm using epsxe 1.60

I'm using Pete's Open GL Driver 1.73:

Full screen: 1024x768 with 32 Bit colours

Texture quality: R8 G8 B8 A8 - Best colours, more Ram needed
Texture filtering: 6: Extended + smoothed sprites
High-Res textures: 2: Streetched ( filtering needed)
Gfx card vram: 64Mbyte

Off-Screen drawing: 4: Extendend - Can cause garbage
Framebuffer textures: 3: Gfx card buffer & software - slow
Framebuffer access: 3: GFX card buffer reades and moves
I also activated Alpha MultiPass, Mask bit and Advanced Blending

That are all things I activated.

Well, now my two problems:
My first one is the problem with the status screen. Every time I try to access the screen my game just leaves me with a black screen, but that I can still load an other state. I already red a similar topic, where the resolution was to activate the " Odd/Even bit hack ", but that didn't worked with me sadly.
My other problem is a big one I thing, Every time a battle starts, the game stops and I return to windows and this message appears :
SPEC Opcode 01 UNK (PC 001f307c)(601f3074)(9274,256)

So can anyone please help me ?

Re: 2 Chrono Cross problems

lower offscreen drawing to 2
lower framebuffer textures to 1
lower framebuffer access to 0

dont know if it will solve your problems but your settings are a little high..

Re: 2 Chrono Cross problems

The status screen bug was fixed on the pete's plugin with the "odd/even bit hack" game fix, make sure that special game fixes is ENABLED, not only the hack It worked for me.

Yeah, the problem with the status screen is now solved, I forgot to activate the " special games fixes " itself. Thanks !
But still, I can't access battle, and that's important for the game I think .

Re: 2 Chrono Cross problems

Offscreen Drawing to 3
Framebuffer Textures to 0
Framebuffer Access to 4

If it's still crashing, try running from an ISO (or remake the ISO from the disc) and let us know how you get on.

Re: 2 Chrono Cross problems

Fuge: Yeap, that's an epsxe 1.6 bug. I suggest you to use PSXeven or stick with epsxe 1.5.2 :/
