Unhappy Gex - ETG " Blank Screen "

I upgraded to the latest epsxe and now the game will not run. I tried Ridge Racer Type 4 and this works fine. Gex - ETG worked fine prior. How may I fix this? Could be a mdec problem?

I am having no problem with this configuration:

Video: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.0 (settings)
Sound: P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.7 (settings: core, plug-in)
Cdrom: ePSXe CDR ASPI core 1.5.2 (settings - select your drive here. I use Adaptec ASPI layer v4.60, included with ForceASPI.)

I recently got this game, and am also having problems with blank screen, when running from ISO and CD-Rom. The settings you listed are not available on the link you posted, and I get an error about no texture and pixel renderings available.

It's supposed to work, but needs ppf/subchannel reading. Anyways, plugins, specs, configs, wich version of epsxe would help

Sounds like you're using Pete's OpenGL2 plugin and your video card isn't liking the settings. Either disable shaders/check "No render-to-texture"/uncheck "Use pixel shader for PSX texture window emulation"/check "GF4/WinXP crash fix" (if you have a geForce 4 Ti) or switch to the OpenGL or D3D plugins.

Well, I just got the game and I'm having the same problem.

I've tried enabled Sub-Channel Reading/Caching. I've tried the ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2 plugin, the Mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8 plugin and the P.E.Op.S. CDR driver 1.4 plugin. I've tried using an SBI file to get the Subchannel info. I've tried running it from an IMG file. I've tried running it from the CD. I've tried making an MDS/MDF file with Alcohol 120%, mounting it with Daemon Tools, and running that.

I tried running the BIOS, using the ePSXe option to change discs, selecting the image file, then reseting the BIOS. I can get the Playstation logo, but it won't go past that.

I've tried the Eternal SPU, P.E.Op.S. SPU and the Internal ePSXe SPU. I've tried them with SPU IRQ hacks and without. I've tried them with every GPU under the sun. I'm at my wit's end!

Edit: PROBLEM FIXED!!

Here's what I did:

Since the original poster said that it worked ok with ePSXe 1.5.2, I went and downloaded that version. I tried running Gex 3 and it worked! So what I did was made a save state right at the menu for the game. Then I copied the save state from the \epsxe152\sstates\ folder to my regular \epsxe\sstates\ folder. Then I started the game with ePSXe 1.6.0, hit F3 and it loaded the menu fine! Just keep a seperate save state at the menu and you'll be able to play the game.
