Controller problem with Final Fantasy Tactics

I can load Final Fantasy Tactics alright. The problem I am having is that neither my P3000 Saitek contoller, nor keyboard doesnt work for this game. Is anyone else having this problem. All other games work, I tested out Chrono Cross, and it doesnt do this. Is there a way that I can fix it?

Do you play from cd or from iso? Have you configured the controller as analog/digital? Try putting it in only digital. You can do this on the config screen, or in-game, pressing F5.

I am running the game off of CD. The digital option worked... Thanks a whole lot. Now for me to beat yet another FF.

pressing the F5 button is akin to pressing the "ANALOG" button on my PS controller, correct?

i remember playing FF7 on PSX and it wouldnt work when i pressed that button

F5 switches between digital and analog so yes it is like hitting the analog button on the controller. You can tell whether analog is on or off by looking where the fps counter bar is. If you see a big A in the right part of the bar, analog is enabled and if it is not there, then it is in digital mode (and if M is there instead of A then you are in the ps mouse mode).
