FF7 best configs

My computer:
-------
P4 2.4 ghz
512mb ram (DDR)
Geforce 4 ti4600
DirectX 9.a
Windows 2000
-------
And all the newest plugins and ePSXe versions...
Don't want those green lines in the backgrounds, so I try to avoid texture filtering.

Re: FF7 best configs

I use this:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.72
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
GFX card: Radeon 9500 x86/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 1024x768 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing [32 Bit]
- Keep psx aspect ratio: on

Textures:
- B8G8R8A8
- Filtering: 6
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 4
- Framebuffer texture: 0
- Framebuffer access: 4
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- 15 bit FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Screen cushion: off
- Game fixes: on [00019001]

Although you want to use fb textures 2 / fb access 3. Try both, and see wich one gives you better results.

For sound, use eternal (i'll assume you've got it). Config it for directsound, sound buffer 40, spuasync audio out method, smooth mode, neill's reverb, and update before accesing registering. Leave everything else disabled.

For CD use peops, set interface to ioctl scasi commands, autodetected read mode, thread read caching, use 4 aditional MB data cache, and try again on redaing error=10.

Re: FF7 best configs

If these green lines annoy you, then disable filtering.
