My Final Legend of Dragoon Question

I've got LoD looking and running good under ePSXe 1.5.2 with Eternal and Xeven and the PPF files on my PIII, 1GHz, SB Live, WinMe, Voodoo5 5500 AGP and, of course, Lewpy's Glide 1.4. So, I'm happy. But, I'd be a lot happier if I could get the FMV's configured properly.

When an FMV is playing the video freezes and the sound cuts out, briefly, every two seconds. I'm thinking it's either the Eternal sound or Xeven CD plugin. So, here's what I have config'd for Eternal:

Enable Sound, Enable CDDA, Enable XA (No Hack)
Direct Sound
Buffer 64
Audio Out - Thread

Boxes Checked:
Update, SPUIRQ - Wait, Wait For XA

For Xeven CD I'm using Auto Detect and Asynchronous.

And, just in case it's something else, here are the rest of my settings:

Active Configuration 2
Active 3dfx Card 1
Enable HotKeys No
Resolution 640x480x16x2
Refresh Rate 60Hz
Texture Depth 16Bit
Emulate MASK Bit Yes
Dynamic Texture Caching Yes
Custom FrameCap 62Hz
On-Screen Display Off
Frame Skip Disabled
FrameRate Limit Auto
System Type NTSC
FrameCap Method New
Draw Method VSA-100
Alpha Blending Mode Advanced
Bilinear Filtering Enabled w/o Sprites
Alpha Testing Normal
FrameBuffer Access Write
Off-Screen Drawing Full
Polygon Mode Textured
Texture Windows Enabled
VSync Disabled
Banshee Code Enabled
MDEC Format Texture
Experimental Flipping On
True Screen Sizing Off
FrontBuffer Rendering Fix Off
FF7 TextureWindow Fix Off
Extreme Coord Fix Enabled
Force Screen Clear Disabled
Odd-Even Update Disabled
Pure Software Disabled
Dithering PSX Controlled

If anybody sees anything there that could fix this FMV problem I'd greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying this great game and will continue the hunt...

Thanks

Re: My Final Legend of Dragoon Question

Have you made sure that 'Use SPU IRQ hack' is disabled in the emu?

Re: My Final Legend of Dragoon Question

Appreciate it but that didn't help. Could it be the Xeven CD plugin?

Thanks anyway...

Re: My Final Legend of Dragoon Question

Could be. For me it didn't even work. Try peops. Set it to aspi/async read on win95/98/me, or ioctl/thread read on 2000/xp.

Re: My Final Legend of Dragoon Question

Thanks, I-Chan. I dl'd the PEOPS CD and sound plugins. Man, I've got a lot of plugins in that folder, now.

The pause on the video did straighten out but the sound got splattered and the FMV seems to be moving a little slower. Went back to the Eternal 1.4 for sound and kept the PEOPS for the CD but still the same.

Eh, all in all, I guess I can live with it. Small price to pay for a decent EMU game.

Thanks!
