Soul Reaver - stops responding...
Hi,
I just got Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (the first one) and it runs perfectly until... at the begining after you learn how to jump you reach a ledge and see two monsters walking around... on my computer I just keep seeing them walkinand walking and nothing else... I can't do anything even though the scene keeps running... anyone saw it ? I tried it both on windows 2k and on Mandrake 9.1 both accelerated GPU's and software... is there a trick? Thank you, Grey |

Well, since this is happening on both Linux and 2000, it's probably your copy of Soul Reaver. First off, is it an origional copy? Secondly, PAL or NTSC? Cause I have a PAL copy of it and I finished the game just fine. ready2rumbelX

IIRC for some versions of this game you need to load the cheat file for it to work properly. BTW in this case I do NOT mean pec, b ut the actual cheat menu option in epsxe. Load the soulreaver.cht file via that and see if that fixes the problem.

thanks man, but it doesn't help... I told epsxe to load the file and wrote the cheat code...
But still when I get to that part I keep seeing the mosters walking around and I can't do a thing... Just stuck in the movie... any other ideas anyone? :-( |

mmm is it a cutscene or are you supposed to play? It might be an issue with the control. Are you using an analog pad? Try pressing F5 when you get stuck. That should enable digital pad. It might work... But i don't bet for it. Anyways, you can try it.

Thanks, I tried the F5 thing... it didn't work :-)
anyone can upload a savestat of just after that cutscene... then I could see if it's only that part or if the whole thing is messed up.... I'd really appreciate it.... it's in the begining right after you learn how to use your wings. Thank you |
