You can mess with the thread settings in Eternal. Also, make sure any special game fixes are enabled, if necessary.

Re: Legend of dragoon question

Won't you be using spuasync-wait in eternal, would you? If so, disable frame limitation on your gpu plugin.

Re: Legend of dragoon question

first> Use some punctuation.
second> Explain it again. But now in a way that a normal person can understand it. If you say "i do this and then happens that, and then the other thingie makes that..." i have not an idea what "this", "that, "those" and etc mean. I don't have to go look for all the posts you made in order to know wtf happens to your machine or how the hell it's configured. There are more than 15.000 users on ngemu, do you think i can remember the data en every post of the top of my head?? So please, PLEASE, explain.

Re: Legend of dragoon question

Ok. I understand what your saying I-Chan, its just that i was in a hurry to finish typing and its way easier using short forms of words. But anyways i fixed the problem i had before with the fmvs and the battles, but now i have another problem. Is there a way to get rid of those black lines when i have extended smooth sprites without having to take that option off. Here are my configs:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.72
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: RIVA TNT2/PCI/SSE

- Keep psx aspect ratio: off

Textures:

- Filtering: 6
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Framebuffer access: 0
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: off
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: on
- 15 bit FB: off
- Dithering: on
- Screen smoothing: off
- Screen cushion: off
- Game fixes: on [00001420]

No. Any 2d filtering causes glitches, so set filtering to 4.

Re: Legend of dragoon question

Re: Legend of dragoon question

Sephiroth_98, i must apologise. The tone of my post wasn't correct, sorry for that man. Bad day :/ . There is a little trick yo can do to speed up the game: instead of using auto frame limit, set it to 55 if you are using a pal game, or 65 for ntsc ones.

Re: Legend of dragoon question

It's ok I-Chan just forget about yesterday. But right now you just said to set the fps to 65 for ntsc and 55 for pal, if i do this will the voices in the fmvs also go fast because i'm not using the eternal spu plugin. I also have another question: how high can i set the fps limit before the voices in the fmvs go fast?

Re: Legend of dragoon question

i have another question. You know how everyone has to put gfx card buffer to show those extra splash screens, wouldn't the game fix called special upload detection do the same thing gfx card buffer does, or would that game fix screw up or somethin? Thanks for all your help

IIRC it's for the opening of FFVIII, which uses a wierd framebuffer upload mode which is really slow in the way that we normaly do it.
