Valkyrie Profile: Slow-Moving Ripples

Alright, I have been playing Valkyrie Profile for roughly two hours (Those damned mini-movies take so long) and I have noticed a large, very distracting problem. Whenever Freya comes onto the screen using the wave-ripples, the game becomes very slow, elongating this problem for nearly 15 seconds each time she comes on, and once again when she leaves. This happens every time and I have been unable to find a way to stop it. I have searched this forum, as well as others, for a fix to this problem but with no avail. If you can help at all, please post here and it will be greatly appreciated.

I will tell you how to solve this in a voodoo card. You dont have one? Well, then your specs may be helpful. We can't know what is your problem if we dont have your specs and configs.

arrghh, i think i scared him... Kazuya goes to hit himself against the wall for a while... Bad boy... bad boy... (seriously, yesterday i had a bad day and i think i overreacted)
