Tomb Raider Music Loop..

Whats Up,

Has anybody had this problem in PSX tomb raider.
when the game plays the music, the music loops!, instead of
playing a track at a time.

Im playing this game on ePSXe, and ive tryed all kinds of images
like: Nrg, Mdf, BIN, and loads of CDR plugings.

I even used Alcohol 120% Virtual DVD drive and loaded the images
and it still didn't work.

So if someone has got it to work on a emu then please let
me know what you used to get it working.

Let me know what Pluging and the settings on the pluging and what
images you used.

Thanks in Advance.

------------
Spec:
ePSXe 1.5.2.
GFX: gpupete 169
SPU: Eternal 141
CDR: sapu100, cdrpeops104

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

I had same problem with FIFA. Try changing Sound Plugin (SPU).

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

Known issue with ePSXe.

IIRC this happens, because of some unemulated BIOS calls regarding CDDA handling.

Try a different emulator (I think Bleem! played it correctly).

Cperezprg, Ive allready tryed changing the SPU, but no go.

F-3582, I don't want to use Bleem! because it is very buggy, and it
dosen't have save states.

Fivefeet8, Ive used mooby's cdr image plugin and when i do..i get no
music at all!. so what setting do i have to have with that pluging?
and what image?.

How do you know this?, have you played tomb raider with this pluging?
if so, what settings did you use?.

Thanks for the reply's though.

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

Try running the cue file of a raw bin+cue image with mooby's cdr plugin.

cdrwin can make raw bin+cues.

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

Did you try making an ISO of it and mounting it with Daemon Tools?

Yep! That did it! I used Clone CD, then WinISO to convert it....
Loaded onto Daemon Tools.
Voila!
Thank you!

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

Eeeeh...

ePSXe works with Clone CD images directly, you don't need to convert it to bin or 'mount' it into a virtual drive.

In ePSXe GUI go to File>Run ISO

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

I know, but that way (running it with ePSXe directly) you won't get any CDDA which is used by Tomb Raider as ambience.

Re: Tomb Raider Music Loop..

Oh, sorry....

Are you saying that a game that doesn't work from the original CD, has a chance to work if I make an ISO and then mount it into a virtual drive?

If so, I'll try it with a pair of games that doesn't run.

I can't get the music to play ingame. Cut-scenes are fine, as are the ingame sounds, but no music . I've tried various audio plugins
