Ff9 Fmv
I'm running FF9 with ePSXe 1.5.2 on a 1GHz PIII and Voodoo 5 5500 AGP with Lewpy's plugin. Aside from a few minor glitches the game has been very playable. However, when a character is on screen and a FMV is playing in the background, the background is black. When the character leaves the screen, the FMV starts moving again. This is really annoying towards the end of disc 4. Anybody know of a 'switch' I need to use to have drawn characters and FMV at the same time?

Great picture. Not sure those settings will work with my Voodoo 5 5500, though.
I tried the Mask enabler but still no FMV behind the drawn characters. Sure wonder what sights I'm missing on disc 4. Yep, I started out playing the game with Pete's OpenGL plugin but Lewpy's looked SEW much better with my Voodoo 5. Although, the game did run faster in OpenGL.
I'll try that framebuffer thing and see how that works out. Many thanks! |

Just finished FF9 (complete with disc 4 FMV) and had a pretty good time of it. Not my favorite FF but it's not totally '***' like so many have said. I enjoyed it and will play it again someday.
Regardless, thanks to everyone who offered help on my config tweaks with Lewpy's Gilde plugin and my Voodoo 5 5000. I appreciate your time and knowledge. So, what's next?! |
