Exclamation FF8 problem please help!!!

Hey guys i hope you can help me with this! FF8 has run absolutely fine up until the 3rd disk on the Ragnarok. The part im having trouble with, is when Squall and Rinoa first get into the Ragnarok, and Squall turns of the Gravity. When that song starts playing, the song gets really choppy but the FPS dont go down. And the characters move as normal. But when Rinoa sits on squalls lap and starts talking to Squall, the messages go away as quickly as they appear. This has never happened before and i want to know what they are saying so i can understand the story!!! Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem?
