Problem with savestates
Hello.
I have a problem with some games (Crash Bandicoot and MGS Special Missions). I can't Save/Load the state of the game with F1/F3. With other games, with the same ePSXe configuration, there's no problem. In ePSXe launcher screen appears LoadState Done! and SaveState Done! but nothing really happens. Anybody have the same problems? is there any thread in the forum about this? The problem is specially with Crash, a very difficult game for my nephew (and me, to collect all gems ). I've seen many cheats at gamefaqs.com, but it's more funny with F1/F3.Thanks!

Save states are not liable, and there have been lots of known problems with them. They are to be used at your own risk, so... Don't get surpirsed if they don't work for you :/

You can fix it by using regular memcards

First, thanks to everybody.
Second, This is a total mistery! As Dark Watcher said, I tried PSXeven and the savestates worked. When I reached "Temple Ruins" level, there was a plataform that didn't moved (It seems to be a emulation bug, there are many threads about it). So I launch ePSXe to see if I can make that plataform move trying some configurations: The plataform finally moves and ... NOW I CAN LOAD/SAVE STATE. I ask for myself: "Was I Crazy? Did I press F1/F3 correctly in the beginning? Okay, next time I will play with ePSXe". Next Time I launch ePSXe, F1/F3 doesn't work ... And after all this words, the solution is: Launch PSXeven, wait untill tile screen, exit program Launch ePSXe, (Everything works) And the question is ...WHY? is strange, isn't it? The ePSXe configuration I had for make the plataform move is: GPU:Pete's OpenGL 1.71 SPU:Pete's DSound Audio 1.15 CDR: Internal W2K BIOS:7502 --------------------------------- Killjoy, Saving to memcard always worked. But I need F1/F3 for make the game 'a little bit' easier, because I'm not the 'game-breaker' player I used to be. Thanks to all of you!

So you only use it b4 bossbattles, hard moments of the games, etc...? I have no problem with that, I also do it

actually this was true in older versions of epsxe, is just that this feature isn't perfect yet, but it is reilable, just need a few trick for it to work perfect
