Bloody Roar 2,problems in Story Mode...

When i try to play the story mode in Bloody Roar 2,all that i get is a blackscreen.It happens also in the opening and the ending in Arcade Mode.What should i do to be able to see the FMVs in this game? Is there a way to play the story mode without get the black screen?Please help me.I'm using epsxe 1.52,Pete D3D plug-in...My Bloody Roar 2 is an Iso file

what are your pc specs and plug-in settings? it might be a bad ISO try remaking the ISO

Pentium 1GHz,128MB RAM,Windows XP SP 1,Monitor Plug n' Play with Trident Video Accelerator Blade 3D/ProMedia.EPSXE 1.52 emulator with Pete D3D plugins 1.7,EPSXE plugin(sound) and Pete's CDR plugin 1.10.This was good enough to play many games in EPSXE,but Bloody Roar 2 seems to not work in Story Mode,All that i get is a black screen when i try to play the Story Mode,i thought special fixes could fix it,but still nothing,always the black screen.Is there a way to get past the black screen and play the Story Mode at all,with the FMVs and stuff? I just don't want give up on this...

have you tried playing with your gpu settings? Maybe you need some changes in the 'compatibility' settings, in pete's plugin config. Try higher values until it works, then lower them to see when it stops working, so you can play faster. Also, you could try different gpu plugins. If you are playing from CD, try making an iso, and if it fixes the game, then is either an scratched cd or a bad cd plugin (i would recommend PEOPS cd-r plugin). In order to receive a better help, post your gpu settings (enter pete's plugin config, and click 'Copy settings to the clipboard', then paste in your paste).

These are the configurations i use for playing most games in EPSXE.I'm starting to distrust the Iso i got from a French website.That's the address that appears before the opening when i run Bloody Roar 2:http://shpwlw.yeah.net.I'm not giving a link,i only want to show you who probably made the iso.I'll rent a copy of Bloody Roar 2 and play it once more in EPSXE.If it's OK,then the Iso has a problem.Thanks for the help,guys.EPSXE is a good emulator,there should be some problem with the Iso,i'll try to check it.(The iso was obtained from a BR2.exe file,13MB long.It's an Auto-extract exe,i don't really trust this).

You have the Chinese 'rip' of the Japanese version of BR2. Warez and old. The reason it isn't giving you story mode is that the videos were stripped out and the game patched to bypass calls for them. You'll also find that these Chinese rips often have been patched with trainer codes (player 1 invincibility and the like, ruining the games).

Get the original CD from half.com or someplace for a mere $5
