Renders/Chrono Cross

Sorry for my english, i am not very good at it.
What can i do to make the renders in games like Chrono Cross look better? The 3d graphicks are good but renderings are awful.
I am playing the iso, with ePSX 1.5.2 using Pete's Open GL Driver 1.71, ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2, bios scph 7502. Plz help.

No, i am talking about the background graphics, renders on which you walk using your characters.

You mean the 2d background?

Try playing with the filtering settings, and post your GPU settings please (copy to clipboard)

I usually set Texture Filtering to 2 or enable 2xSAI and the pre rendered backgrounds look good

Actualy the backgrouds are a difficult issue.
With a setting of 2, you will tend to get tiling. With a settign of 4, you wil lget the least issues, and with a setting of 6, it will do some filtering without the tiling effect
2xSai can really cause problems, as can running in a rez not a multiple of 320x240

Personally, I use screen smoothing and filtering 0, and I'm satisfied with the results. Not sure if it's a viable option with his video card, but might be worth trying.
