Dragon Warrior 7

I've been having a few odd problems with Dragon Warrior 7, mostly related to transparency and windows.

Opening the status menu in DW7 causes noticable slowdown. Nothing else I've seen does.

I can't see treasure boxes open and the object appear overhead like I should if the text box is there, but I can if I check dressers (which cause the screen to open only after you find the item).

In a fight, there is slowdown and all the menus/information thing with HP and MP are black-backgrounded rather then transparent. However, after a fight, when it's fading out to go back to the world map, they mysteriously become transparent (as they should) and the text becomes smoother (more like what it looks like on a PS2, actually). I'll see if I can get a screenshot of this. I've never encountered this problem in another PSX emulated game.

My graphic plugin information is as follows.

I think the plugin 'game fixes: on [00000800]' is the problem.
Don't use it.

My file didn't have a treasure box handy to check, unfortunately.

However, it (mostly) worked in combat. Thank you. It's still smoother coming out of a fight then during, but that's something I'll live with.

To show what I mean, since I'm not clear, I attached a couple screenshots - one of what it looks like during a fight, and one just before/as it fades out to the map.

I noticed the shading and smoothing on the map itself change when I open the menu there, too.

No settings were changed. Actually, that's the same fight, with no stop in emulation.

Looks mu ch better after, but I can't get it to stay that way.
